The Process
Planning your wedding can feel daunting at times. It’s my mission to help make booking your photographer smooth and seamless! I’m always interested in getting to know my clients - and no two weddings are ever the same - but as a guide, it tends to go something like this:
1. Get in touch - Drop me a message through the website or send an email to nick@theofficialphotographer.co.uk with a note about your big day – ideally covering the date, the venue and any specific requirements. Or feel free to give me a ring!
2. Then let’s chat - I usually suggest that we arrange a face to face meeting, or book in a call to talk about your plans for the day. It’s always nice for us to be able to put a face to the emails. If we’re able to let’s grab a coffee or failing that a phone call or some FaceTime works just as well! There’s no obligation of course at this point and it’s natural for a couple to meet with more than one photographer to get the right fit for you.
3. Pricing – Following our chat, if you’d like to book me in, either plump for one of the packages outlined on the pricing page or if there is something more, less or in between what you can see there just let me know and I’ll see what I can do!
4. Confirmation – If you’d like to go ahead, I’ll send you a contract and a request for the booking fee (which is £200) and we can get it all booked in.
5. Pre-wedding chat! - It’s always nice to meet before the wedding, at the venue if that’s possible. At this point we can go over the timings for the day and chat about how you’d like to approach the group/family photos.
6. The day itself – Woohooo! I’ll be there bright and early to capture the events as they unfold. I’ll do my thing, following the plan we’ve agreed, leaving you to get swept up in the celebrations!
7. Shortly afterwards – Within a few days I can send over some taster images to bring it all flooding back and then within 4 weeks you’ll have all the images back ready for you to relive the day and share the photos with friends and family!
